Programs & events

Seamless works with brands, industry and government organisations to deliver programs that help Australians choose, enjoy, and recycle clothing more responsibly.

Our programs

A national clothing system for Australia

Seamless received grant funding from the Australian Government to deliver a program to support a coordinated national clothing collection, sorting, reuse and recycling system for Australia. The program enabled Seamless to drive industry collaboration.

Circular clothing design training

Seamless offers two circular clothing design training courses. A foundations course, which introduces the core principles of circular clothing design, and an implementation course, where designers redesign a garment using circular design principles.

National clothing benchmark

The Seamless National Clothing Benchmark provides the baseline for measuring Australia’s progress towards a circular clothing economy. It maps the flow of clothing, from production and consumption through to reuse, recycling and disposal.

Environmental impact of clothing

The Seamless Environmental Impact of the Australian Clothing Industry report measures the greenhouse gas emissions and water use linked to Australia’s clothing value chain in a single year, from production and transport through to use and disposal.

Warehouse to clothing reuse pilot

The Warehouse to Clothing Reuse Pilot, delivered in partnership with Charitable Reuse Australia, the NSW Environment Protection Authority and Uturn Recycled Fashion, explores a practical way to give unsold clothing a second life.

Cotton On x eBay pilot

To support circular business models, Seamless brokered a partnership with Cotton On and eBay Australia to launch an innovative resale initiative that makes it easier than ever for customers to resell their Cotton On Women’s fashion.

The Innovators runway was presented by Fashion Design Studio (FDS) at TAFE NSW at AFC Australian Fashion Week in May 2026. From innovative techniques including reverse appliqué and laser cutting to material reuse and experimentation, where reclaimed, donated and deadstock materials were reworked into new garments, the runway embodied a new generation of designers, committed to their craft and a more thoughtful and circular fashion future.
