Seamless offers two circular clothing design training courses. A Foundations course, which introduces the core principles of circular clothing design, and an Implementation course, where designers redesign a garment using circular design principles.
Seamless circular clothing design training is based on RMIT University’s ‘Refashioning’ circular design guide. Whether you’re new to circular clothing design or an experienced designer looking to build hands-on skills, there’s a Seamless training course to suit.
Training is open to everyone, but Seamless members and supporters enjoy exclusive benefits — free access to the Foundations course, and for members (clothing brands), one free place in an Implementation course.
About our courses
Seamless Circular Clothing Design Foundations
The Foundations course is a two-hour online introduction to the principles of circular clothing design. You’ll explore key concepts and discover practical ways to start embedding circular thinking in your organisation. The course is open to everyone, and if your organisation is a Seamless member or supporter, attendance is free for an unlimited number of participants.

Seamless Circular Clothing Design Implementation
The Implementation course takes a deeper dive into circular design practice, equipping designers with the technical skills to apply circularity in the real world. Over 12 weeks, you'll redesign an existing garment using circular design principles. The course includes an online introductory session, a one-day, in-person design workshop, one-on-one coaching sessions with your trainers throughout the program, and a final online workshop where you'll present your redesigned garment. Anyone can attend, but Seamless members receive one free place per clothing brand.
