Applications will open soon for a new Appointed Director on the Seamless Board, with executives from Seamless supporter organisations with the relevant skills and experience encouraged to apply.

Following the Seamless Annual General Meeting in November 2025, where members approved updates to the Constitution, the Seamless Board has progressed plans to appoint a new supporter representative to the Board. This new role will help ensure the Board continues to reflect the expertise, perspectives and experience needed to guide Seamless through its next phase of growth and impact.

The Governance and Nominations Committee has identified several areas of experience that would strengthen the Board’s capability, including:

  • International supply chains and trade, particularly across the post-consumer value chain, and/or
  • Market development for new products and services, and/or
  • Investor relations or capital markets.

These focus areas align with Seamless’ strategic priorities as we work to establish a national circular clothing system. Strengthening markets for recycled clothing textiles, engaging global supply chains and supporting investment in circular clothing solutions will help build a more productive and resilient Australian clothing industry.

The recruitment plan is currently being finalised, with applications expected to open in July 2026. Applications will be reviewed from late July, followed by shortlisting, interviews and reference checks through August and September. The Board is expected to approve a preferred candidate in October 2026, with the appointment commencing from the 2026 Annual General Meeting in early December.

This appointment will further strengthen Seamless’ governance and bring additional expertise to the Board as we continue working together to advance clothing circularity in Australia.
