We’re inviting your feedback on a draft taxonomy for the Australian clothing sector — a key step toward developing a shared set of standard definitions for our industry.

The draft taxonomy has been developed by a working group convened by Seamless, bringing together representatives from clothing brands, recyclers, reuse operators, and others across the clothing value chain. It outlines definitions for the R-strategies, also known as the resource or waste hierarchy, and other key clothing related terms.

We invite you to review the draft definitions and share your feedback to ensure they reflect how these terms are used in practice.

You can view the draft definitions here and provide your feedback via the online survey here.

The deadline for submissions is 5:00pm AEDT on Thursday, 30 October 2025.
